Canvas Preparation
Preparing coloured grounds on canvas' can make oil painting much easier since nothing seen is pure white. If you start your painting with a mid tone, building up subsequent layers can be much faster and more efficient.
TOOLS:
- Brushes
- Palette knives
MATERIALS:
- Paints
- Stretched canvas
PROCEDURE:
- Begin by deciding what one colour best describes the general colour of the picture you're going to paint.
- Then mix enough of that colour to be able to cover your entire canvas.
- Apply the mix of colour either with a palette knife or brushes.
